- ⚡ The Data Center Boom — Energy consumption, backup generators, water usage, noise, and community impact
- 📶 6G & Beyond — Why future wireless networks may focus on greater device and infrastructure density
- 🌐 Millimeter Waves — Discussing proximity, exposure, and research into how these frequencies interact with the body
- 💡 Photonics & EMF — Essential Energy’s approach to supporting biological resilience rather than simply blocking EMF
- 🌱 Real-World Applications — Reported results involving crop yields, dairy cow fertility, and nutrient density
- 🧬 EMF & Human Health — A broader look at the ongoing questions surrounding modern electromagnetic environments
Is shielding or blocking EMF the only approach? Or could there be another way to think about our relationship with modern technology?
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation exploring EMF exposure, 6G, data centers, wireless technology, photonics, and the future of human health.

Author Biography

Dan Stachofsky
Dan Stachofsky is a business owner, father of 8 children, tech enthusiast, and researcher who spent years helping his terminally ill daughter live her best life. After 7 years of some successes, he realized his daughter’s primary immune deficiency was not improving and infections were worsening. This drove him to research what the root cause for dis-ease is and what, if anything, he could do to improve this for his daughter.
It all came down to the terrain, or environment, within the body. We first think of nutrition and water, but the real difference maker is – light. That’s when he came across a technology that was easy to integrate into day-to-day life and raised his daughter’s vitality enough to mitigate her infections.
He realized this was also mitigating symptoms of EMF exposure and, given his tech industry career, he realized he was being called into a new mission – to help a growing number of people find relief from EMF radiation. He started Essential Energy for this single purpose, and today is blessed to work with families and farmers across the world in their quest to live their best life.
Show Notes from this episode
00:00 Intro — Stephen previews the episode: EMF fundamentals, the data center boom, and what’s coming with 6G (and 7G, 8G, 9G on the roadmap).
01:45 Welcome back, Dan Stachofsky — Dan returns roughly a year after his Season 7 appearance to update listeners on EMF science and Essential Energy’s technology.
02:07 Why the science still feels “divided” — Stephen frames the EMF conversation as a paradigm stuck in place despite a large published literature.
03:04 Natural vs. artificial EMF — Dan defines electromagnetic fields as “the physics of life,” distinguishing full-spectrum natural EMF (sunlight) from artificial EMF generated by wireless devices and anything running on electricity.
05:40 The sunscreen debate — Stephen raises the case that decades of sun-avoidance advice may be working against mitochondrial health and whole-body physiology.
06:30 Dosing, sunglasses, and the body’s adaptive tan response — Dan explains that harm comes from dose and filtering (e.g., sunglasses), not sunlight itself; Stephen shares his own experience building sun tolerance.
08:39 How satellites and power lines have changed sunlight itself — Dan describes how tens of thousands of satellites and high-voltage transmission lines are altering the atmosphere and the quality of solar radiation reaching us.
11:12 The cholesterol parallel — Stephen compares the EMF/sunlight debate to the cardiology-vs-neurology cholesterol argument — and points to melanoma data on covered, non-sun-exposed skin.
13:14 “Junk light” vs. healthy light — Dan explains electromagnetic signaling in digestion and the nervous system, and introduces his framing of cell tower radiation as junk light versus sunlight as healthy light.
16:10 Sponsor: ValAsta Astaxanthin — Code POI5 for 5% off at Valasta.net.
16:44 Power lines and childhood leukemia — Dan cites published research linking high-voltage power lines/substations to childhood leukemia, plus emerging work on EMF’s effects on wildlife with Dr. Henry Lai.
18:53 Lab-tested effects: oxidative stress, DNA, gene expression — Stephen asks about cellular stress-response testing across 3G/4G/5G frequencies.
19:45 Does EMF really penetrate the skin? — Stephen probes the claim that ~80% of EMF is blocked by skin.
20:22 Proximity is everything — Dan references Dr. Deborah Davis’s thermal imaging showing radiation penetrating halfway through the adult brain (fully through a child’s), and cites a 2019 Ramazzini Institute study on ambient exposure and fertility in male rats.
23:20 Stephen’s EMF meter experiment at home — Stephen recounts walking his house with a meter and getting strong readings from his microwave from 15–20 feet away.
25:03 Enter the data center boom — Dan sets up the scale of the current buildout: roughly 5,500 data centers today, with thousands more planned.
25:23 Feeder lines, backup generators, and “dirty electricity” — Dan explains how high-voltage feeder lines (up to 300 miles), 20–40 diesel backup generators per site, and DC-to-AC inverters combine to create EMF and “dirty electricity” stress on the body.
27:38 11 gigawatts: the West Texas mega data center — One planned facility will draw as much electricity annually as the entire city of Los Angeles — from a single 2,000-acre site.
28:50 The overlooked water crisis — Stephen, drawing on a conversation with a Georgia Power engineer, questions the logic of siting massive water-cooled data centers in drought-prone West Texas.
29:49 Noise pollution joins the list — Dan adds 24/7 generator and fan noise to the community-impact picture alongside water and electrical stress.
30:22 6G is coming — so is 7G, 8G, and 9G — Dan explains 6G as the natural progression of wireless generations, and that carriers are already road-mapping well beyond it.
31:58 Sponsor: BBack 0524 shoes — Code POI10 for 10% off at Bbackworld.us.
32:50 5G vs. 4G: millimeter wave explained — Millimeter wave technology penetrates the body more but not walls — hence the proliferation of small-cell towers roughly every 800 feet.
35:19 A crash course on the electromagnetic spectrum — Dan walks through wavelength size from extremely-low-frequency (mile-long) radio waves down through microwaves, infrared, visible, UV, X-rays, and gamma rays.
36:42 Essential Energy’s different approach: photonics, not blocking — Rather than shielding against EMF, Dan describes using structured full-spectrum light to make the body more resilient to it.
39:19 The “crowd out” analogy — Dan compares the approach to nutrition counseling: introduce more of the healthy signal (coherent light) rather than trying to eliminate the unhealthy one.
40:24 Measurable results: crop yields — Stephen highlights Essential Energy’s farm data showing direct, measurable changes from the technology.
41:15 Dairy herd fertility and milk/egg nutrient data — Dan shares a Utah State University analysis: treated farms saw all seven fat-soluble milk vitamins/minerals above benchmark (CoQ10 +50%), and eggs with vitamin E 712% higher and vitamin A over 200% higher than benchmark.
43:19 How to get started — Stephen asks for a practical recommendation for listeners wanting to protect their own environment.
43:57 Essential Energy product walkthrough — Dan covers EssentialEnergy.us, the wearable Essential Flow pendant and Essential Active Energy plate for individuals, and Geofield Conditioners for farms and clinics.
46:03 Wrap-up — Stephen thanks Dan and shares the listener discount — code POI10 at essentialenergy.us.
